Shawls and other WIPs

OK, I have the FnF shawl almost done, as I said below, blocking and fringe, and that's all folks. The problem is, I hate fringing. Really Really hate fringing. And the shawl has a home now, mom took it. But I already have another one on needles, and 2 more planned. I have hit another craze, thanks oh fellow knitters on those email lists, you got me started! LOL Anyway, the one on needles is the Kiri shawl, in Pingouin Poudreuse yarn (80% Acrylic, 10% Wool, 10% Mohair) in a light green. It's turning out absolutely beautiful!

I also just picked up a skein of Bernat Disco yarn in a dark purple, and a skein of dark purple ww yarn to use with it (disco is a really cool eyelash yarn), to make my mom a fuzzy mobius scarf. I can't wait to see how that turns out either.

I have the front and back of MIL's birthday sweater done, now just the sleeves to go.

I started another pair of socks, in Lion Brand magic sock yarn, in a feather and fan pattern of my own design, I may get brave enough to print it up for you here.

I have a scrap afghan going to use up odd balls from the stash, 1 strand of black and 1 of whatever I pull out of the bin on a M hook I think. Just a simple DC across each row, but it is turning out interesting with all of the different colors randomly put together. It's going to be a car blanket. Our family always keeps an afghan in each of our cars, kind of a superstition about our love protecting the occupants, I don't understand it, I just do it! ;)

Well, I'm going to go back to my knitting, but at least I have updated most of my WIPs now. Most, not all. LOL

Blessed Be,
Dragonsong
